The Strong Follower

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding       (Proverbs 3:5)

Easier said than done, right?

If we really live like that then we are truly followers of Christ. Following is often viewed as a thing that weak people do, especially in our culture, which is very individualistic.

Following God is not weakness, it can take a huge amount of strength. If I think I know the best way to go but God is leading another way it can take a lot of strength to follow. In those moments it is so important to remember why you chose to follow God in the first place. It is also really helpful to remember other times you followed God against your thinking and how that turned out. The hardest time to follow God isn’t when you don’t know what to do, it’s when you do but God has a different idea.

God Bless
